Sephora Trip!

Today I went to Sephora with my boyfriend to pick up some hair products, I was so excited! I must say, this hair adventure has been one of the most exciting things I've done in a while. I'm a student, I study English, boring moments are a staple in my life. I'd love to say I'm kidding, but I'm not. So during my Sephora trip, I picked up Carols Daughter products, which I have heard are amazing for curly hair.

I'm very excited to try these products tomorrow. I have actually never been so thrilled to wash my hair. The trio is very affordable, it was $40 for all three products, and as always, you get samples at Sephora. As with everything else that I use from Sephora, if the product works, I don't mind the price.

I was going to stop at Ulta today too and purchase TiGi's Cat Walk Curlesque, but I decided I'd wait to see how Cat Walk Curls Rock works in my hair before shelling out $16.99 for a new product.

Yesterday, my hair lasted pretty long. I didn't put it up until around 7pm, meaning it held for almost ten hours. It did not frizz, the curls stayed pretty developed, but it did get a little poufy. I don't have a proper synonym for that, so poufy is the word I'm using. I noticed that most of the crunchy feeling I had felt earlier in the day disappeared around 5pm, leaving really soft curls. If I could find a way to get that soft curl feel with tamer curls, I'd be in heaven.

Today, I was in a rush, so I just got my hair wet, no wash, separated it into two sections, first applying the half pump of Moroccan oil to both sides and combing it through my hair. Then, I added half a pump of the Cat Walk Curls Rock to my hair. I found the source of the crunch, it is the Cat Walk Curls Rock. I have decided not to completely give up on it just yet, however. It's probably because I am a broke student assistant and one bottle of this stuff was $13.99 at Target. Yup, that is exactly the motivation for making it work. On the up side, I really loved the way my curls were looking, especially at the bottom. They looked like I curled it with a curling iron, which I didn't because this is a no heat on my hair summer.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow's experiments with Carols Daughter. My biggest task right now, after finding the perfect combination for my hair, is getting the front of my hair, where I've flat-ironed the most due to my bangs, to curl again. I will post my adventures with my products tomorrow!
